RSVP President Ravi Lamichhane in judicial custody

Ravi Lamichhane, chairman of the National Independent Party, has been sent to judicial custody by the Kathmandu District Court. Although Lamichhane's statement was completed in the Kathmandu District Court, he was sent to judicial custody as there was no debate.

The bench of Kathmandu District Judge Madhav Prasad Adhikari sent Lamichhane to judicial custody.

Shrestedar Ramu Sharma of Kathmandu District Court informed that he has been sent to judicial custody until the final order of the detention hearing. He has been sent to judicial custody. Although the statement was completed, he was sent to judicial custody as the final order was not reached due to the debate. There will be a debate from Monday onwards,' said Sharma.

On behalf of Lamichhane, legal practitioner Yagyamani Neupane informed that although they were requested to argue in custody, the judge said that it was not possible due to lack of time, but they were sent to judicial custody . 'The statement in the court is over. There was 20-25 minutes of time left. On behalf of Lamichhane, we proposed to debate behind closed doors, but the public prosecutor said that it would have to be studied . The judge also said that there was not enough time today and handed him over to the police,' Neupane said, 'Rather than handing him over to a lawyer or family, the judge did not agree and sent him to the police in judicial custody . Now there will be a closed debate tomorrow.' 

A case has been filed against Lamichhane in Kathmandu Kalimati's Swarnalakshmi cooperative fraud case in the district court of Kathmandu. He appeared in court on Sunday morning. Lamichhane, who was released on bail from the Kaski District Court on Thursday in the saving money fraud case of Suryadarshan Cooperative of Pokhara, came to Kathmandu on Friday and contacted the police.

In the Suryadarshan Cooperative fraud case, the Kaski District Court ordered him to be released on a bond of 65 lakhs. With the order of the court, he was released from custody after 84 days.

Suprem Sahakari of Rupandehi, Sahara Chitwan of Chitwan and Sano Paila Sahakari of Parsa are also preparing to register a case against Lamichhane on charges of fraud .
