Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has expressed confidence in developing information technology (IT) as an industry that earns foreign currency.
He mentioned that there are some legal difficulties for those working in the field of IT in Nepal through the social network Facebook and said that the meeting of the Council of Ministers on Friday addressed it through an ordinance.
'Yesterday's Council of Ministers meeting has recommended a law to the President to facilitate the repatriation of IT earnings through an ordinance. We believe that this will develop IT as an industry that earns foreign currency,' he said.
Prime Minister Oli now says that Nepali IT companies will be able to invest abroad, earn money by opening branch offices abroad and legally bring in the money earned.
