President Ramchandra Paudel has said that the teachings of Prithvi Narayan Shah, the leader of the Nepal Unification Campaign, are a guide for building economy, patriotism, and building diplomatic relations with neighboring countries.
On the occasion of National Unity Day, he issued a message today, he clarified that we should not forget the contribution made by many of our forefathers to reach the present state of Nepal, which is scattered in small states.
'Prithwin Narayan Shah built the modern nation of Nepal by unifying the states that were scattered in small pieces and our heroic ancestors continued this campaign in different periods of history. On this basis, we have made Nepal independent, indivisible, sovereign, secular, inclusive, democratic, We have already announced that it is a socialist-oriented federal democratic republican state. We should not forget the contribution made by many of our ancestors to reach the present state of Nepal, which is scattered in small states.'
Emphasizing that while remembering Prithvi Narayan Shah, his sermons should also be remembered, President Paudel said that popular and relevant sermons are a guide in building economy, patriotism, and building diplomatic relations with neighboring countries.
'May this occasion of National Unity Day provide inspiration to all to achieve the happiness and prosperity of the people while keeping the freedom, sovereignty, geographical integrity and national unity of our country intact,' President Paudel said, 'The 303rd birth anniversary of Prithvi Narayan Shah, the leader of the Nepal Unification Campaign. And on the occasion of National Unity Day, I offer my best wishes to all my sisters and brothers at home and abroad while paying my respects to him.'
