Minister Rana requested the Israeli government through Ambassador Bash to make Joshi's release a special priority as there was news that the Hamas group was about to release 34 people who had been kidnapped.
During the meeting, Ambassador Bash informed that the government of Israel had sent a list to Hamas a few months ago for the release of the elderly, women and children under the control of Hamas and that it was prepared to release them in the first stage.
In October 2023, Palestinian Hamas group attacked Israeli land and killed more than 1000 people including 10 Nepalis. After that, they kidnapped some people and also Bipin Joshi. Nepal government is continuing its diplomatic efforts for the release of Bipin.
