Health and Population Minister Pradeep Paudel has requested not to remain in dilemma regarding the running of Dashrath Chand University of Health Sciences.
Today, during the visit of Shaheed Dashrath Chand University of Health Sciences located in Geta, Godavari Municipality-5 here, he said, 'Let's move ahead with the matter of building a university and running the MBBS program together. I will go to the hospital first, then MBBS can be conducted.'
He said that the university has its own process of operation. He said, 'It would be good if it could become a university. The cost is more. The state should provide that cost and operate the university.'
He said that it will be difficult to become a university in a place where there are no hospitals or medical facilities. He informed that although the regulations should be changed, 10 scholarship doctors and up to 20 nursing staff will be sent immediately. Let's make it a 300-bed hospital. This will not stop the work of the university,' he said.
Minister Paudel directed to operate 24-hour emergency services at Geta Hospital. About seven billion worth of physical structures have been built in Geta. Currently, a 50-bed hospital is operating here.
