President Ramchandra Paudel has said that free and fair journalism is the cornerstone of democracy. While congratulating the newly elected officials of the Federation of Nepalese Journalists on Monday, President Paudel said that the strengthening of democracy and its stability should also be the main goal of journalists.
Since free and fair and professional journalism and people's right to information are the pillars of democracy, our constitution has guaranteed full freedom of press and freedom of expression and right to information as fundamental rights. Therefore, I think that the strengthening of democracy and its stability should be the main goal of journalists," said President Paudel.
