An arrest warrant has been issued against Anil Kumar Pokharel, the personal secretary of the Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee of the House of Representatives, Rishikesh Pokharel and UML Morang District Committee member. The Morang District Court allowed the Morang Police to arrest Pokharel on Monday.
Morang District Court Information Officer Hem Bahadur Budhathoki told Ikantipur that an arrest warrant has been issued against Pokharel in a fraud case. It has been revealed that Pokharel cheated 38 lakh 80 thousand rupees by claiming that he would pass the MBBS entrance exam.
It is alleged that between 2071 and 2073, Anil repeatedly took 38 lakh 80 thousand from Boualal Chowdhury of Saptari by promising to pass the MBBS entrance exam and to create an atmosphere to keep her in the hostel.
