83 people died due to animal attacks in 5 months

In the last five months, 83 people have died due to attacks by snakes, tigers, rhinos, elephants and bears. According to the data of Nepal Police, 83 people have died and 599 people have been injured due to animal attacks from Shravan to November of the current fiscal year 2081/082.

Central Police Spokesperson Senior Superintendent of Police Vishwa Adhikari informed that Nepal Police has assisted in the rescue and treatment of 256 people during this period.

70 people have died and 532 people have been injured due to snake bites. 236 people have been rescued by the police.

Similarly, 6 people have died and 14 others have been injured due to an elephant attack, the spokesman informed. Similarly, 3 people died and 24 people were injured due to tiger attack. 11 people have been rescued by the police.

Similarly, 4 people have died and 14 people have been injured due to the rhinoceros attack. 4 people have been rescued by the police. 15 people were injured by the bear attack and the police rescued 2 people .

'One thousand eight hundred and thirty-five policemen have been mobilized for the rescue and treatment of those who have been attacked by animals,' the spokesperson said, 'Recently, there has been an increase in cases of human casualties caused by animals in various places in Nepal. We have been asking everyone to be alert and careful and not go to potentially risky areas.'
