Nepal Police has collected more than 2 billion 240 million in revenue in five months of the current fiscal year 2081/082 from operations of various natures.

The police has implemented a special action plan and conducted a campaign to prevent various actions and illegal activities.

According to Nepal Police spokesperson Senior Superintendent of Police Vishwa Adhikari, the revenue was collected from 10 different types of operations including seizure of illegal goods, traffic operations, hundi, gold, river mining. The spokesman informed that the highest revenue collection was 905.7 million (40.42 percent) from the seizure of illegal goods.

He informed that Rs 527.4 million from traffic fines, Rs. 427.4 million from traffic fines, Rs. 262.9 million from illegal gold and silver seizure and Rs.

Similarly, 20.9 million undisclosed sources, 18.3 million revenue from illegal wood seizure and 12.2 million revenue were collected from the control of hundi transactions, according to the police headquarters.

According to the details from July to November, 1.16 crore revenue was collected from illegal livestock control campaign and 9.2 lakh more revenue from illegal river mining, the official informed.
