A Parliamentary sub-committee has been formed to study the issue of land compensation in areas affected by electricity 'high tension lines'. The sub-committee was formed after discussing the complaints registered in the committee in the Wednesday meeting of the infrastructure development committee.

According to the chairman of the committee, Deepak Bahadur Singh, he informed that a sub-committee has been formed to study after discussing the complaint registered on behalf of the victims affected by the high-tension line. A sub-committee has been formed under the coordination of committee member and former energy minister Shakti Bahadur Basnet.

committee. In the complaint, it is mentioned that there is a problem in compensation of land in an area of ​​8 km from Kathmandu Nagadhunga to Suchatar under the 132 KV transmission line brought to Kathmandu from Marsyangdi and Kulekhani hydropower projects. 

Similarly, it is mentioned in the complaint that houses up to about 15 km from the substation in Machhegaon Satungal-Suchatar have been affected. It has been mentioned that the sub-committee will draw a conclusion after studying those areas and the rest will be discussed in the committee.
