Nepal Communist Party General Secretary Netra Vikram Chand has said that there will be no unity with CPN (Maoist Center) unless party unity is taken seriously.
Speaking at a press conference organized by the party in Kathmandu on Tuesday, General Secretary Chand said that there will be no unity with any revolutionary force unless the issue of unity is taken seriously. He said that the illusion that the party's unity with the Maoists is over has been spread and made it clear that if the party is serious about unity, then the party will unite. He complained that other communist parties did not take the initiative of unity taken by CPN seriously.
One correct idea of the revolutionaries is that they want to polarize the organization. What has been rumored from outside is that the unity with the Maoists has been dissolved, closed, completed. That is not the case,' he said, 'with the seriousness with which the CPN has looked at unity and the need for unity initiative, until it becomes serious between the Maoist center or other revolutionary parties, we have said that we will maintain cooperation through the front and lead to a polarization.
General Secretary Chand said that he decided to participate in the election based on the changed context, people's wishes, people's suggestions, and the conclusion of the party's political practice.
