The constitution is amended with the consent of major parties: Minister of Communications Gurung

Communications and Information Technology Minister Prithvisubba Gurung has said that the constitution will be amended in agreement with major parties.

While inaugurating the Nana Mohan Senior Citizen Service Center Building built in Machhapuchre Rural Municipality-1 Tusey today, he said that the constitution will be amended with the consent of major political parties. He said that the constitution will be reviewed for amendment.

Communications Minister Gurung, who is also the spokesperson of the government, said, 'The two major parties in the government have formed a high-level political mechanism. The first task of this mechanism will be to initiate the procedural work for constitutional amendment. The government's plan is to speedily approve the pending bills in the committees of the House of Representatives and the National Assembly and prepare the standards for the stalled bills and finalize them as soon as possible.'

The Minister of Communications informed that the government has proceeded with the procedural work to quickly create the necessary laws for the state and local levels. He said that the establishment of a service center for senior citizens is positive. He expressed his commitment. He said, 'to protect the rights and interests of senior citizens  The government is committed.' 

On that occasion, the Diva Sevakendra building, which was built with the financial support of Ehman Stiftung of Switzerland, was handed over to Aamasmriti Foundation. For the construction of the building, the local Karna Bahadur Gurung donated four ropani land in memory of his late mother Nana and father Mohan.
