14 thousand three hundred eight students of Tribhuvan University have been initiated. Prime Minister and Chancellor of Tribhuvan University KP Sharma Oli presented certificates to the students who graduated and got the best marks at the 50th convocation ceremony held at Dasharath Rangshala in Tripureshwar.

According to Tribhuvan University Examination Controller Pushparaj Joshi, 9,068 undergraduate students, 5,555 postgraduate students, 63 MPhil students and 122 PhD students have been initiated.

The students who stood first in the examinations of various levels and subjects taken from Tribhuvan University have also been awarded with various medals. This year's Tribhuvan University Professor Sangh Sahid Vice Professor Hariraj Adhikari Gold Medal has been awarded to Hira Shrestha of the Faculty of Management and Shri Indrabhakt Shrestha Gold Medal to Sudha Kafle of the School of Management.

Likewise, the Amrit Medal has been awarded to Sushil Pokharel of the Central Department of Chemistry, the Madan Vidya Environmental Science Award to Rikita Bhandari of the Central Department of Environmental Science, the Nepal Bank Limited Sardar Gunjman Sin Gold Medal and the Ramkrishna Nhuchche Pradhan Award to Revika Bhandari of Kathmandu Model College. 

Narendramani Acharya Dixit Medal and Dr Mohan Prasad Lakh Gold Medal received by Sudiksha Ghimire of Ratnarajya Lakshmi Campus. Sanjeev Kumar Singh of Central Department of Library and Information Science with Shanti-Narayan Mishra Medal, Prateekraj Joshi of Department of International Relations and Diplomacy with Dr. Dubsu Chhetri Gold Medal, Sreena Kshetri of Central Department of Botany with Emirates Prof. Dr. Ram Prasad Chaudhary Gold Medal and Narayan Shanti Mishra Medal of Journalism and Mass Communication with Central Department Chetna Kunwar was awarded.

Tarapad Chaudhary Medal, Khagendraman Sin Pradhan Medal and Chandraraj Dhungel Memorial Award were given to Sreejya Kafle. Kafle is a student of Central Department of Economics. Shilpa Bista Academic Excellence Award was received by Sitakumari Shrestha of Central Department of Education.
