The local village and municipality and district-affiliated associations and federations have submitted a seven-point letter of attention to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, including the need to hold a meeting of the National Coordination Council to discuss the 'agenda' including the revision of the work elaboration report.
A delegation consisting of Chairman of the National Federation of Rural Villages Laxmidevi Pandey, Chairman of the Municipal Association Bhim Prasad Dhungana and Chairman of the District Coordination Committee Federation Ashok Kumar Ghimire submitted the attention letter to Prime Minister Oli at the office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Singh Darbar today.
As the second meeting of the Coordination Council under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister could not be held after the month of January 2080, it has been demanded in the attention letter that the topics submitted and decided in the previous meeting should be discussed.
Likewise, the Prime Minister has been requested not to cut the equalization grant, to increase the size of the financial transfer to the local government, to speed up the work of the National Land Commission and to provide resources to the District Coordination Committee.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Oli expressed his commitment to give authority to the local government according to the constitution and manage the budget properly as long as the resources are available, according to the Prime Minister's Secretariat.
