A change in weather has started from West Nepal. According to the Department of Water and Meteorology, Weather Forecasting Division, since Monday evening, it has changed over the Far Western Province and will gradually spread across the country.

Rojan Lamichhane, meteorologist of the division, informed that it will spread in Kanali province tonight and will gradually reach Gandaki and Lumbini. He said that even if the system is a bit weaker as it moves up, the impact will be visible. 

Lamichhane said that the change will continue until this afternoon and will weaken somewhat from Wednesday. According to him, it has not rained yet. He informed that there is a possibility of snowfall in the highlands and Himalayan areas at night and in the morning and light rain in some other areas.   In the details released by the department on Monday evening, it has been seen that western winds are currently under influence in the country and the western low pressure system will be affected in Sudurpaschim Province, Karnali Province, Lumbini Province and Gandaki Province. 

At present, the weather is generally cloudy in the far western region of the country, the hilly areas of Koshi Province, Gandaki Province, Karnali Province are partly cloudy and the weather is mainly clear in the rest of the country.

In the next 24 hours, the department has informed that there is a possibility of light rain in a few places of Bagmati Province and Madhes Province and one or two places of Koshi Province.

start to grow cold 

With the change in weather, it has started to get cold again in Nepal. Lamichhane, a meteorologist of the division, mentioned that since the last week of November, the cold in Nepal increased very much and then gradually decreased, it started getting cold again from Monday. 

The minimum temperature in Kathmandu is currently 4.3 degrees in the records of the department. Earlier, on January 4, the temperature in Kathmandu was 4.8 degrees.

Similarly, on Monday, the minimum temperature in Jumla reached minus 7.8 degrees, but on 4th of January, it was minus 7.2 degrees. The minimum temperature is decreasing in other regions as well, according to the Weather Forecast Division.
