The testimony of five defendants, including the president of the National Independent Party and former home minister Ravi Lamichhane, accused of co-operative fraud, will begin in the district court in Kaski from today. Along with Lamichhane, former DIG Chhabilal Joshi, Leela Pachai, Ram Bahadur Khanal and Krishna Bahadur Gurung are beginning to testify.

They have been appointed to the bench of Judge Nitij Rai. According to Suraj Adhikari, Information Officer of Kaski District Court, the judge will decide whose statement will be taken first only after studying the missile.

But the police have asked to take the statement of 75-year-old Krishna Bahadur Gurung first. Due to his health condition, he wants to take a statement first.

On Sunday, District Public Prosecutor's Office Kaski filed a case against 31 people including National Independent Party Chairman Ravi Lamichhane in District Court Kaski. In Pokhara's Suryadarshan Cooperative fraud case, a case has been registered against them for 3 offences.

According to Shrestedar Khyamnarayan Lamichhane on behalf of Kaski District Court, a case has been registered against 8 different companies. Similarly, the public prosecutor's office is of the opinion that the property of 5 people should be confiscated. Shrestedar Lamichhane said that a total of 44 individuals and companies were made defendants.
