Foreign Minister Rana returned home after a two-week long trip abroad

Foreign Minister Arju Rana Deuba has returned to the country after a two-week long foreign visit. After visiting some European countries and India, she returned home on Monday.

After returning home, on Monday evening at the Tribhuvan International Airport, she informed media persons that she had important meetings and talks in Europe and presented grounds for climate justice demand on behalf of Nepal at the International Court of Justice located in The Hague, Netherlands. 

Rana left for Europe on December 22. Rana said that she and her delegation raised the matter in the court on December 24. After that, she informed that she had separate meetings with Luxembourg's Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Xavier Bettel and Belgium's Foreign Minister Bernard Quintin and discussed bilateral interests and mutual interests. She also said that during the

visit, she had separate meetings with European Union Commissioner for Climate Action Opke Hostra and Commissioner for International Partnership Joseph Sikela in Brussels, Belgium, and talked about the relationship between Nepal and the European Union, the impact of climate change on Nepal and climate justice that Nepal should get. In addition, she said that she also asked to take initiatives to remove the provisions related to the ban (safety list) imposed on Nepali Air Service in the European skies. 

Rana arrived in New Delhi, India on Friday after participating in various programs in Germany. Addressing the Indo-Nepal Economic Conference held in New Delhi on Friday, she informed that Nepal has requested for additional air routes from India. She said that she did not have any political meetings as she was attending an economic conference on her visit to India and was following up on her health treatment.
