Kaski Police has written a letter to the Speaker Devraj Ghimire to suspend the post of MP of RSVP Chairman Lamichhane. According to a high source of the Casco Police, a letter has been sent to the speaker to suspend Lamichhane, who was elected as a member of the House of Representatives from the RSVP.

Kaski police have written a letter to the speaker for the suspension of the MP because a charge sheet has been registered against Lamichhane in the District Court Kaski according to the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.

After the indictment is filed in the court, the police have to inform the Speaker of the same . After receiving the letter, the Speaker should inform the House of Representatives about the suspension of the post of MP when the House of Representatives is in session and put a notice on the notice board when it is not in session. 

In the case of Lamichhane, since the House of Representatives is not currently in session, the speaker will post a notice on the notice board and the MP position will be suspended. 

Article 27 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act provides for automatic suspension. "If any officer or employee of an organized organization established in accordance with prevailing laws or any national servant is in detention in accordance with this Act, such employee, official or national servant shall be deemed to be automatically suspended for the entire period of such detention and if a case is filed against him in accordance with Section 22, until the case is settled," in the said section. mentioned . 

Rule 56 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Regulations, 2081 provides for the provision of notice of suspension. It is provided that 'the person who is a defendant in a case filed under section 22 of the Act, an employee or an official who has been automatically suspended in accordance with section 27 of the Act, shall put the information on its website and give that information to the relevant body or organized organization and the regulatory body.'  .  

Public Prosecutor's Office Kaski registered a case against 31 people including Lamichhane in the District Court Kaski on Sunday . In Pokhara's Suryadarshan Cooperative fraud case, a case has been registered against them for 3 offences. Along with Lamichhane, a case has been registered against former DIG Chhabilal Joshi, Leela Pachai, Ram Bahadur Khanal and Krishna Bahadur Gurung for crimes related to cooperative fraud, organized crime and money laundering. According to Shrestedar Khyamnarayan Lamichhane on behalf of Kaski District Court, a case has been registered against 8 different companies.

An indictment has been registered with Lamichhane with a demand of 27 million 89 million 44 thousand rupees for asset laundering including collective 1 crore 62 lakh 65 thousand and individual 1 crore 75 lakh under cooperative fraud.

The police gave an opinion that one and a half billion rupees should be recovered from 51 people including Lamichhane and should be prosecuted for cooperative fraud, organized crime and money laundering . In the case of Lamichhane, 4 to 6 years imprisonment for co-operative fraud, 50 percent more punishment for organized crime and 2 to 15 years imprisonment and double fine for money laundering are mentioned in the police investigation report.
