The World Meditation Day announced by the United Nations is being celebrated today by various religious, spiritual, cultural and social organizations in Nepal.
On December 6, 2024, the United Nations General Assembly declared December 21 as World Meditation Day. On the occasion of World Meditation Day, a continuous meditation program will be organized for 32 hours worldwide.
The decision of the United Nations to celebrate World Meditation Day on December 21 every year has been welcomed by various organizations working in this field.
The government of Nepal has also announced that it will celebrate meditation day today. On this occasion, various programs have been organized by organizations working in spiritual fields including yoga and meditation across the country.
Meditation center under Nepal Maharishi Vedic Foundation, Global Mother Divine and 90 Gurukuls operating across the country have organized group meditation after Rudrabhishek this morning.
Similarly, organizations such as Life Sciences, Patanjali Institute, Brahmakumari Rajyoga Seva Kendra have organized various programs to celebrate World Meditation Day.
