Nepali Congress senior leader Shekhar Koirala has promised to make the Congress able to fight elections alone under his leadership.
In a meeting with party leaders and workers in Far West on Saturday, leader Koirala announced that now the Congress will not ally with any party and will fight the elections alone.
'I will make the Congress a strong party that can fight alone and will not allow injustice within the party in the days to come. Justice is done. I will take responsibility for that,' Koirala said before, 'I am fighting within the party for equal and fair opportunities for everyone.' He said that in the past injustice was being done to leaders and workers in the Far West and now they will get a proper opportunity.
Leader Koirala promised justice to all leaders and workers from the 15th Congress. 'I understand your pain. Now after the 15th Congress, justice will be done. I do not favor anyone. But for this we need your help,' he said.
He also opined that the 15th convention should be on time and if the convention is not on time, the party will be weak. Koirala, who reached there on Friday to participate in a program to be held in Dhangadhi on Saturday, has held separate meetings with the leaders of all the nine districts.
