Former Prime Minister and Chairman of Nepal Samajwadi Party Baburam Bhattarai has said that the current constitution does not do justice to all communities and languages. He said this while addressing the four-day 35th International Maithili Conference and Siraha Sahitya Sangam, which started on Friday in Siraha.

Bhattarai said that we should protect the achievements so far and fight for more rights and justice. "The current constitution has not done justice to all communities and languages," he said, "so I call it a half-glass, struggle is necessary to complete the constitution."

He also told Maithili and Madhesh that he loves each other . Bhattarai says that Maithili language is the second most spoken language in Nepal, but it is the first language in terms of history.

Bhattarai expressed concern saying that Madhesh is geographically prosperous but lagging behind in economic and social indices. He urged everyone to fight to make Nepal a common country, saying that the ruling class' view of Madhesh has not yet changed.
