Nepali Congress has called not to stop distribution of active membership at any level. The call was made at Thursday's meeting under the coordination of Congress Active Membership Management Committee and Party General Minister Gagan Kumar Thapa.
In the next meeting, there will be a discussion on which level of the party membership has been suspended. Congress central member Prakash Rasaili Snehi, who is also a member of the committee, informed that if the district chairman stopped the active membership form, the central committee would intervene and move forward.
There is a provision in the constitution of the Congress that active membership shall not be distributed in the year of the convention. In other years, the committee has emphasized that the work should be done according to the rules of distribution of active memberships on a regular basis. It is said that the next meeting of the committee will be held on January 18.
