Dalit Empowerment Bill to be passed soon: Chief Minister Kandel

Chief Minister of Karnali Province Yamlal Kandel has said that the Dalit Empowerment Bill submitted in the Karnali State Assembly will be passed soon.

In a meeting with the leaders of the unified movement for Dalit rights, he informed that the bill submitted to the provincial assembly after he assumed the leadership of the state government is currently being discussed in the subject committee. He said . 

'I have received information that the committee is doing its work to submit the report to the state assembly as soon as possible,' he said, 'If there are any issues from your side, please inform the members of the committee.  was returned . But this time the incident will not be repeated.'

After the government has registered the bill itself, the responsibility of getting it passed by the provincial assembly is also the responsibility of the provincial assembly, Chief Minister Kandel assured that the government will pay full attention to passing the bill though it may be late.

Stating that the state government has paid special attention to the rights, interests and upliftment of the Dalit community, he also informed that 50 million rupees have been allocated to be implemented this year.

The Dalit Bill has not been passed by the Provincial Assembly for 6 years and the organization of the Integrated Movement for Dalit Rights demonstrated in front of the Chief Minister's office. Chief Minister Kandel called those who led the demonstration and discussed.
