Tek Giri of Thalara-1, who went missing after falling into the Seti River from the Kathe Bridge connecting Kedarsyun and Thalara Rural Municipality on Friday evening, has not been found yet. Local and armed police searched the banks of the Seti River on Saturday and Sunday, but Giri was not found.

According to Tech's uncle Bhuvan Giri, the armed team returned around 2 pm on Sunday without finding the missing person. He speculates that tech can be found in the lake at the confluence of Seti River and Kalanga River.

"They said that it is not possible to send divers in such a cold and flowing water rather than searching the same lake with divers," said Bhuvan, "They came back saying that they will report when the body is found." 

DSP Durga Prasad Bhatt, Chief of Armed Police Force Bajhang, said that divers were not necessary in the flowing water.

'Looking at the nature of the water there, we have estimated that the person who fell in the river has drifted away rather than drowned. Divers do not work in flowing water,' he said, 'Accordingly, we have asked the police of Doti district to assist in the search.' They move around. During the dry season, the wooden narrows are washed away by floods, so there is a disconnection between these two municipalities.

'Aujau is exactly the same in Barkha. In winter, we have been running the work by adding sandhu, but there is a situation that we have to fear when it will fall in the valley of Seti,'' said Rabindra Joshi, the ward president of Thalara-1.

The residents of Sayal and Adarsh ​​Rural Municipality of Doti and Sigas Rural Municipality of Baitadi have also been affected after the suspension bridge collapsed in that area. One has to walk all day to reach Deura, the main commercial center of three districts.

Because there is no bridge, the locals are unable to sell their agricultural products. Locals say that hotels, shops and industries that were opened with huge investment have sunk after people stopped coming to Deura market due to the lack of a bridge. 

Students studying in Betal Secondary School in Deura, Kedarsyuk from Thalara Rural Municipality are making their way through Kathe Sanghu in a risky way. More than 150 students from Savik Dangaji VDC reach Betal Secondary School after crossing a narrow path. During the rainy season, they miss their studies.

When there was a bridge, more than a hundred people would come from Doti and Baitadi districts to get treatment at the primary health center in Deura every day. "But now they have to be deprived of health services," said health worker surgeon Chand Subedi. 

A year and a half after the bridge collapsed, a new construction contract was awarded. Local Infrastructure Development Project Office Dhangadhi signed a contract with Deepbhoomi Construction in Chait 2079. The contract was signed for 15 million on the condition that the construction should be completed within 18 months. The contract expired last August. Meanwhile, after the death of the contractor Dambardatta Bhatt, the work could not proceed.
