The Ministry of Health and Population has appealed to report any information regarding ambulance misuse.
Dr. Prakash Budhathoki, the spokesperson of the ministry, requested that if there is any information about misuse of the ambulance from anyone, it should be sent to the various networks of the ministry. He informed that if you receive such information, you can send your complaint to the Ministry through WhatsApp and Viber number: 9851330592, Ministry's Facebook and X (Twitter), Ministry's email or directly to the Ministry or by post.
The Ministry of Health issued a statement on Thursday and mentioned that it is currently receiving complaints about misuse of ambulance services in various parts of the country. Spokesperson Dr. Budhathoki said, 'The ministry is constantly monitoring to prevent ambulance abuse. According to the National Ambulance Directory, 2078, if it is proven that the ambulance service has been misused, there is a provision to proceed with the process from alerting the concerned ambulance to suspension and cancellation.' In the
statement, it is said, 'Ambulances operating across the country are being operated quickly and efficiently through a one-door system, taking the sick and injured to the hospital and providing easy and simple emergency health services to the citizens.'
Dr. Budhathoki said that the ambulance guidelines are being implemented by the ministry and only those ambulances and health institutions that meet the criteria are being given registration and operation permits and are being recommended for revenue discounts.
