Federation of Journalists elections on Friday, 4 candidates for the chairman of the Central Committee

According to the Central Election Committee, all the preparations for the three-level elections of the Federation of Nepalese Journalists, which are going to be held on November 28th, have been completed. Voting will be held on Friday for the selection of new leadership in the central committee, 10 provincial committees and 77 district branches and 41 institute branches.

The coordinator of the Central Election Committee, Prof. Chiranjeevi Khanal informed. 

The Central Election Committee has printed the ballots for the officers and members of the Central Committee and the Accounts Committee and delivered them to the branches through the Provincial Election Committee. There are 3 ballot papers for the Central Committee in this election.

There is a light blue ballot paper for the central officials, white for the central members elected from the provinces, and light pink ballot papers for the other central members and the audit committee. The state working committee and the branch working committee will choose the format and color of the ballot papers themselves.

Voters will use their franchise to elect 3 levels of leadership through secret voting. When going to the polling place, they must present and vote with an identity card issued by the federation or an identity card issued by the Department of Information and Broadcasting or a certificate of citizenship or a national identity card or an identity card issued by the Government of Nepal with a photo revealing the identity.

4 nominations for president

4 nominations have been made for the president of the central committee. Devi Prasad Sapkota, Nirmala Sharma, Ramesh Bista and Lalsingh Lama have nominated for the post of President. Govinda Prasad Chaulagai, Deepak Acharya and Roshan Puri have nominated for the post of Senior Vice President.

Similarly, Ganga Paudel and Neetu Pandit have been nominated for vice president for women. Umid Prasad Bagchand, Mohan Kumar Singh and Subhash Prasad Sah have nominated for inclusive vice president. Similarly, Janmdev Jaishi, Prakash Thapa, Ramprasad Dahal and Lekhnath Neupane have nominated themselves as general secretary.
