In Wednesday's meeting of the State System and Good Governance Committee under the House of Representatives, the chairman of the Public Service Commission suggested that there is a need for a commission to recruit employees in Nepal's universities. discussion, Chairman Regmi suggested, 'Since universities are academic institutions of a specific nature, it is also appropriate to establish a University Service Commission with the sole responsibility of filling the posts of all universities in the country in accordance with the spirit and spirit of the Constitution and that the commission will do the admission, selection and recommendation of all universities. appears .'
Regmi says that there is a need for such a commission because the posts could not be filled for a long time due to various reasons. He said that the University Service Commission should be formed like the Teacher Service Commission.
Regmi said that university and teacher services are not included in the scope of public service in the constitution, but the members of the public service commission are also represented in the service commissions of those bodies. President Regmi informed that although there is no provision in the constitution, there is a provision in the laws of the relevant universities to represent the members of the Public Service Commission.
