In the contempt of court case, the Supreme Court has ordered to demand a written answer from the leaders of the National Independent Party (RASWPA).

Advocate Anupam Bhattarai filed a petition for contempt of court in the Supreme Court, mentioning that he had publicly expressed contempt of court in connection with the matter of Ravi Lamichhane, president of the RSVP, who is under investigation.  In the

petition, it was claimed that even the central officials of the RSVP had created confusion in the public mind about the independent judiciary by holding meetings mocking the justice delivery process, spreading unfounded and baseless things about the judiciary to the public.

RSVP MPs Swarnim Wagle, spokesperson Manish Jha, Sumana Shrestha, Virajbhakta Maharjan, Toshima Karki, Sovita Gautam and others have been made opponents in the contempt petition. The Supreme Court has ordered to demand a written reply from all those who have been made opponents.
