Ravi Lamichhane, chairman of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RASWPA), who was brought to Birgunj for investigation into cooperative fraud, organized crime and money laundering, had a statement taken for about 4 hours at the Parsa public prosecutor's office on Tuesday.

Bholanath Niraula, Chief Attorney of the Public Prosecutor's Office, took a statement from Lamichhane. Niraula said that 54 questions were asked to Lamichhane during the statement. According to the Public Prosecutor's Office sources, Lamichhane has 'confessed' about something.

According to Parsa Police Spokesperson Kishore Lamsal, Lamichhane will be sent to Pokhara before that because Persa will expire on Wednesday. 

Former director of Gorkha Media Network Pvt. Ltd. and former DIG Chabilal Joshi and Ram Bahadur Khanal, who were brought to Birganj on Monday morning for investigation into the misappropriation of funds of Sano Paila Sahakari, said that Parsa Police Spokesperson Deputy Superintendent of Police Lamsal said that they were sent back to Pokhara by road on Tuesday morning after completing their statements on Monday. The Parsa court had given permission to arrest Lamichhane, Joshi and Khanal last Wednesday.
