International Human Rights Day is being celebrated today with various programs commemorating the release of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Every year on December 10th, this day is celebrated all over the world. The theme of this year's International Human Rights Day is 'Our Rights, Our Future and Now'.

According to the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, since 2075, every year since 2075, the Human Rights Award has been given to individuals or organizations that have made a significant contribution to the protection and promotion of human rights. The award was given from the fund established in accordance with the 'Human Rights Award Fund Operation Regulations, 2075'. This year, the ministry has clarified that the award will not be given as the process has not been completed according to the qualifications and procedures set by the regulations.

According to the ministry, a necessary study has been started to increase the amount of the award that is being given annually at the request of individuals or organizations who are determined in the field of human rights. Komal Bahadur Khatri, Joint Secretary and Spokesperson of the Ministry, informed that the Ministry has given confidence to regularize the arrangement of awards by doing necessary studies and preparations.
