Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Bishnu Prasad Paudel and US Assistant Secretary of State Donald Lu have had a meeting.

Financial assistance, effective implementation of projects under MCC and USAID, development finance, investment in private sector and other issues were discussed in the meeting at the Ministry of Finance.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Paudel requested for the further expansion of American assistance to Nepal due to political stability in Nepal, and now the main priority is economic prosperity. 

American Assistant Secretary of State Lu expressed his happiness that Nepal has succeeded in maintaining economic growth and stability even though some countries in South Asia are facing economic problems. He  He informed that America is in favor of providing more financial support to Nepal in the coming days.
