Signing of BRI was done in agreement with Congress: Home Minister Author

Home Minister and Congress leader Ramesh Akhtar has said that the signing of the BRI cooperation framework with China was in agreement with the Congress. During Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's four-day visit to China from November 17 to 20, Nepal and China agreed on the 'BRI Cooperation Framework'.

Addressing the first conference of the Congress Kosi state on Saturday, the home minister said that the signing of the 'BRI Cooperation Framework' was an agreement between the ruling parties. "The government of Nepal has signed an additional agreement with the ally China regarding BRI. This agreement was made according to the opinion, advice and consent of Nepali Congress . There is no need to think otherwise,' he said.

The Home Minister said that it is necessary to get financial assistance for the overall development of the country and there is no question of taking a loan from BRI. 'Congress has already said not to take loans. The Prime Minister has said that there is no question of taking a loan. Now it should be properly implemented,' he said. This expression of the Home Minister has come at a time when there is a voice in the Congress saying that the way to take loans in BRI has been kept open.

Similarly, the author said that the goal of the ruling coalition made up of Congress and UML is corruption control, development and prosperity.

'Governments have been formed in the union and the state by standing on the ground of equality. This equation is not made to make some people ministers . It is built for durability . It is working for corruption control, development and prosperity. This equation is made for sustainable peace, good governance, development and prosperity in the country,' he said.

As the subject of constitutional amendment was raised, the minister said that the constitution will be amended to further advance the federal democratic governance system and inclusiveness.
