The office recommendation committee has selected 40 names for the two commissions on transitional justice. Committee member spokesperson Khamb Bahadur Khati informed that the committee has selected the names of eight chairman and 32 members for the officials of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and the Investigation Commission of Disappeared Persons.
According to him, Dilliraj Acharya, Achyutaprasad Bhandari, Vijay Sijapati, Vishwaraj Koirala, Sudeep Pathak, Mahesh Thapa, Sher Bahadur KC and Kashiraj Dahal have been selected for the post of president.
The government formed a recommendation committee under the chairmanship of former Chief Justice Omprakash Mishra on October 2. The committee was given a term of two months.
There were 156 applications for the office bearers of the two commissions. The working period of the recommendation committee is till the 2nd of January.
