Former Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai has said that Nepal is facing a serious problem of intellectual flight due to its inability to make proper use of subject matter experts and technicians.
Addressing the opening ceremony of 'Archwild Expo 2024' in Kathmandu on Thursday, Bhattarai said that initiatives should be taken to solve the problem of intellectual flight.
'It is sad to say that a less developed country like ours cannot make proper use of the experts and technicians in the country, so a poor country like ours is facing serious problems of brain drain,' he said.
Bhattarai, who is also the chairman of Nepal Samajwadi Party Naya Shakti, said that in a developing and developing country like Nepal, maximum use of technology and subject experts should be used to solve the environmental problems that accompany development.
He said that 'architect' represents not only the development and material progress of mankind but also art, culture and heritage.
