Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli mentioned that Nepal and China are the lands of Buddha and Confucius and said that they should represent the rich common history of harmonious co-existence and permanent friendship.
Prime Minister Oli, who is in Beijing on an official four-day visit to China, delivered a speech at Peking University on Tuesday and said that as reliable neighbors and never-ending partners, the two countries need to cooperate closely in various areas of mutual interest.
He also mentioned that "all the political parties of Nepal are committed to the 'one China principle'". He praised President Xi's visionary initiatives such as the Belt and Road Initiative in the spirit of shared prosperity and successful cooperation.
"China has lifted its 800 million people out of poverty". And has set an inspiring example of 'prosperity with happiness'. Where development encompasses welfare and equality, Oli said during his address.
He said that China's miraculous economic development has taught Nepal valuable lessons as it embarks on its own development journey. "Nepal and China can envisage a future of shared prosperity and lasting friendship." which is motivated by mutual respect and the search for a better world for all,' he said.
