An arrest warrant has also been issued against Ravi Lamichhane, the former Home Minister and Chairman of the National Independent Party, and former DIG Chabilal Joshi, who was also the then Vice President of Gorkha Media.

To investigate the misappropriation of the savings of small step cooperatives of Birgunj  Police Chief of Parsa Kumud Dhungel informed that permission was given to the police by the Parsa District Court. When Lamichhane was the managing director, about 8 crore rupees went to Gorkha Media Network from the cooperative. 

Arrest warrants have been issued against Lamichhane and Joshi in Kaski, Rupandehi, Kathmandu and Chitwan and investigations are ongoing. Lamichhane is currently in Kaski police custody. Police are taking him from custody to other districts where arrest warrants have been issued, and are making statements.
