Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav has requested the Qatar government to arrange 24-hour insurance for Nepali workers working in Qatar.

The Vice President requested the Ambassador of Qatar to Nepal, Mishalbin Mohammad Ali Al Ansari, who came to meet him at the Vice President's office in Lainchour on Tuesday, to rescue and provide proper compensation to the Nepali workers who died or were injured there, and to provide necessary assistance to the Nepalis in various hospitals, deportation centers and prisons. 

'67 Nepalis are serving prison sentences in Qatar and many Nepalis are living without papers', the Vice President said in the meeting, 'I request His Excellency to give amnesty or reduce the prison time and help undocumented Nepalis to work regularly or return them to Nepal.'

Vice President Yadav expressed his happiness that Nepal and Qatar have been working closely on multilateral and regional platforms and supporting each other on matters of mutual interest and interest. Vice President's press coordinator Dinesh Yadav informed that he also appreciated Qatar's mediation for the release of Nepali citizen Vipin Joshi and other hostages. At the

meeting, Qatar's ambassador Ansari stressed the need to strengthen the relationship between the two and said that he is in favor of promoting and protecting investment in Nepal. Informing that there are currently four lakh Nepali workers in Qatar, he said that he will try to implement the interests of Nepali workers.
