CPN Maoist Center Senior Vice President Narayankaji Shrestha has accused the present government of taking the protection of the corrupt. Shrestha said this while inaugurating a three-day district-level training program held at Musharniyan in Siraha.
He claims that the current government has reached a state where it cannot run on its own while protecting the corrupt. 'The government should work for good governance and prosperity in the country,' he said, 'but this government has no time to protect the corrupt, the government has reached a situation where it cannot run because of its own reasons.' Shrestha said that the cases including donation of billions of land taken by the party leading the government from the person who created it have revealed the character of this government. He says that even the imagination of development and good governance cannot be done by this government.
Shrestha also stated that his party is not in the game of forming and overthrowing the government. However, he said that if there is an environment to work in favor of the country and the people, then they can join the government.
