A new bird Gerumuhar Chachar has been found in Nepal. The bird was found by ornithologist Shankar Tiwari at an altitude of 3,100 meters in Upper Mustang. He saw the bird and took a picture at the apple orchard in Chele village of the Annapurna conservation area during a bird watching trip.

Tiwari took the picture of the bird on 18th Baisakh at 6:39 in the morning. On October 25th, he gave detailed information along with geographical conditions and photos to the Nepal Bird Record Committee, which keeps records of new birds in Nepal. The committee, after taking suggestions from the National Parks and Wildlife Department and the national and international bird experts, has come to the conclusion that it is a new bird for Nepal. Tulsi Subedi said. The

committee has given the Nepali name Gerumuhar Chanchar to the bird whose name is in English (Nauman's Thrush). This bird is named Gerumuhar Chanchar as the face and lower part are ocher. Along with this, the number of birds of Chanchar species found in Nepal has reached 20 . "At first, the bird looked like the Chatak Chanchar found in Nepal," Tiwari said, "After studying it, I sent it to an expert who saw that it was different." Although the photo was taken last April, he asked the expert to identify the new bird only in October.

After providing detailed information with pictures of the new bird, the team of national and international ornithologists confirmed that the bird is new to Nepal, said Lakshman Paudyal, executive director of the Nepal Ornithologists' Association. Now the number of birds found in Nepal has reached 897.

This bird found and bred in Russia is also found in China, Japan, Mongolia, Korea and Taiwan . During the migration, this bird travels using the Mongolian route . Ornithologists say that it may have come to Nepal during migration, which has been recorded as a migratory bird in some countries in Asia and some countries in the Middle East, including Britain, France, Norway, Sweden and Finland. Tiwari said that he was happy to be able to identify a new bird for the country. This has added enthusiasm to start bird tourism. It has encouraged me to take pictures of birds,' he said.

Previously, ornithologist Tiwari and wildlife photographer Sanjay Tha Shrestha recorded that a new bird, Taludharse Arjuna, was found in Nepal on July 2nd in Upper Mustang at an altitude of 3,650 meters.
