Communications and Information Technology Minister Prithvisubba Gurung has claimed that the current government formed by two major parties will not last more than three years.

Inaugurating the 6th President's Cup and Sports Festival organized by Kaligandaki Rural Municipality of Syangja on Friday in Mirmi, he asked not to get confused that the government will fall. 

In the absence of political stability in the country, other sectors such as development, construction, trade, and production will be affected, he claimed that the current government, which was formed to advance the country, will last with confidence until the next election.

'The government that was built for the prosperity of this country will not collapse until the objective is fulfilled,' he said, 'I can say with confidence that this government will change.

He said that there is an agreement that CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli will become the Prime Minister for another year and a half and Nepali Congress Chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba will become the Prime Minister for the next year and a half.

Minister Gurung, who is also the spokesperson of the government, said that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will emphasize on the implementation of past agreements during his upcoming visit to China. During his visit to China, he also made it clear that the government will not take a loan regarding BRI. 

President's Cup and Sports Festival will be conducted till next Sunday. Village chairman Khim Bahadur Thapa said that more than 700 players will participate in 22 categories of seven sports including men's and women's football, volleyball, cricket (single/double), table tennis (single/double), running, intelligence.
