The Nepal Electricity Authority has written to Nepal Rastra Bank to freeze the accounts of 34 industries that have not paid dues for consuming electricity through dedicated feeders and trunk lines during the load shedding period.

Executive Director of the Authority, Kulman Ghising, wrote a letter to Rashtra Bank on Wednesday to freeze the accounts of non-paying industries.

Ghising has written to Rashtra Bank to freeze the account in accordance with the decision of the Government of Nepal on October 25 and the directive of the Electricity Regulatory Commission dated November 11.

The commission had instructed the authority to take other coercive action besides cutting the line of the industry .
