A Nepali who is absconding in human trafficking and trafficking case has been arrested from Kuwait. Dilip Raut, who is on the wanted list of Interpol and has a permanent residence in Dhanusha Jankanandani rural municipality-4, was arrested by the Kuwait police. The arrested Raut was brought to Nepal on Tuesday.
Nepal Police had written to Interpol to search for Raut. Suspecting that Raut is hiding in Kuwait, the police also requested the Kuwaiti police to search for him. The Police Headquarters said that Raut was arrested in coordination with Kuwait Police and he was brought to Nepal for action.
Interpol issued a red notice against him on October 18, 2081, who was involved in human trafficking and trafficking cases and was absconding. According to the Police Head Office, Raut has been handed over to the Human Trafficking Investigation Bureau (Babarmahal) for further investigation after he was brought to Nepal.
Two people from Sindhupalchok and Udaipur, who were placed on the wanted list by Interpol in the case of foreign employment fraud, were arrested from Cambodia on November 18 and November 1 and brought to Nepal. Binu Shakya of Sindhupalchok Mangkha and Sujan Acharya of Triyuga, Udaipur, who absconded in the case of foreign employment fraud and were on the wanted list of Interpol, were arrested in Cambodia and brought to Nepal for further investigation. Shakya was brought to Nepal on Monday and Acharya on November 8.
Acharya and Shakya are accused of defrauding more than 40 people of Rs. Nepal Police has been coordinating through Interpol to search for and arrest people who have fled abroad after being involved in various crimes. During that time, these three people were arrested abroad and brought to Nepal.
