The Supreme Court dismissed the writ petition against the electricity trade agreement between Nepal and India. While hearing the writ of Suryanath Upadhyay, the Supreme Court ruled that it will be dismissed.
The full bench of the Supreme Court comprising Chief Justice Prakashman Singh Raut, Sapna Pradhan Malla and Mahesh Sharma Paudel ordered the cancellation of the petition filed demanding the cancellation of the Nepal-India Electricity Trade Agreement.

An electricity trade agreement was signed between Nepal and India on December 19, 2080 at the energy secretary level. In which it was mentioned that Nepal will export 10,000 megawatts of electricity to India in 10 years.
