According to the Nepali Army, all the Nepali peacekeepers deployed in Lebanon to maintain peace at the call of the United Nations are safe.
Military Spokesperson Gaurav Kumar KC informed that there is regular contact with the Nepalese forces in the peace mission and that the entire force is safe. Spokesperson Casey said that Nepali peacekeepers will be deployed according to the decisions and instructions from the United Nations and mission headquarters based on the evolving situation in Lebanon.
'There have been sporadic incidents around the peace mission, it is affecting the daily life and performance, the Nepali peacekeeping force will follow the instructions of the United Nations,' said KC, the military spokesperson. Currently, there are 877 Nepalese peacekeepers in Lebanon.
