All the five Russian citizens who have not been contacted for two days while climbing Dhaulagiri first mountain have been found dead. Alexander Dasiko, Oleg Kruglov, Valdimir Kisticov, Mikhail Nosenko and Dmitry Spilevoi, who went to climb the 8,167-meter mountain, were found dead on Tuesday at an altitude of about 7,500 meters.

According to the Department of Tourism, the 14-member Russian team, which received climbing permission on August 19, 2089, was divided into two groups and headed towards the summit. A team of 6 people who took the help of Sherpas only up to the base camp went ahead to climb the mountain without oxygen. Among them, Valery Sipilevoi returned from the middle on Sunday due to health problems. According to the department, he also requested the 5 people above to return. But they refused to turn back because they were nearing the peak. But after some time they said on the radio set that they were abandoning the climb and descending. According to contact officers and agencies, they were without contact after 11 pm on Sunday.

After information that 5 climbers were out of contact, a search and rescue team was mobilized. Due to inclement weather, helicopters could not go to the area on Monday. On Tuesday, the helicopter found them dead at an altitude of about 7,600 meters, according to the department. Deputy Superintendent of Police Bharat Shrestha informed that Sipilevoi, who was separated from the team, was rescued from Camp 1 on Tuesday and taken to Kathmandu for treatment.

The 6 climbers in the other team returned midway after their health deteriorated. Denis Aleksenko and Artsyom Tesentsevitsky have returned to base camp after the climb, according to the climbing management agency and contact officer. The department said that they are safe there and they are planning to go down probably in 1-2 days.

The team led by Alexander Dasiko took permission to climb the Dhaulagiri first mountain on August 19, 2089. The climb was managed by IM Trekking and Expeditions. Expedition Chief Executive Officer Pemba Jangbu Sherpa posted on the company's Facebook page a photo taken by Dasiko who died in Dhaulagiri on October 12.

It seems that there was heavy snowfall in the Dhaulagiri base camp area and it affected the camp as well. In the early stages of this season, bad weather has become a hindrance in climbing Dhaulagiri.
