The Nepali Congress has drawn the attention of the government regarding the rescue, relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction of the victims of floods, landslides and inundation.

On Sunday, a team of leaders led by Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba met Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and submitted a 34-point suggestion and attention letter regarding the heavy loss of life and property, rescue, relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction of the victims.

The Congress has urged the government to create a detailed action plan and face the current natural disaster with the unity and joint efforts of all the political parties represented in the Parliament in accordance with the Nepalese tradition of unity. 

Similarly, by coordinating and mobilizing with government and private sector, civil society, local and foreign non-governmental organizations, non-resident Nepalese community, post-disaster rescue, relief and rehabilitation work in areas declared as crisis and affected areas will proceed in a fast and systematic manner. It is suggested to increase .

All levels of government, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority and other supporting organizations, the private sector and foreign development partners in relief and rescue by building an agile system in coordination with the district security system and the local government of the affected area as soon as possible to the affected families as needed Congress has drawn the attention of the government to provide tripal, food, medicine and clothes immediately. 

By saying that Nepal is one of the countries with high risk of disaster, the Congress has also reminded the incident of two earthquakes in Gorkha and Jajarkot that killed thousands within this decade and felt that it is imperative to develop an agile disaster management strategy and develop institutional efficiency .
