Dakshinkali municipality has sent drinking water to other local levels of Lalitpur district from springs under its jurisdiction. Water Minister Pradeep Yadav reached Dakshinkali municipality on Saturday and asked the people's representatives and locals to help in sending water from the source to other areas of the district.
The Ministry of Water Supply has informed that the Dakshinkali Municipality has started sending water to other areas of Lalitpur after discussions by a team of federal government officials including Minister Yadav. Minister Yadav informed that water has started falling from the spring in the Dakshinkali Municipality to the tank of Bhainsepati.
It is said that after Minister Yadav promised to fulfill some demands of the locals of Dakshinkali Municipality, water was diverted from Kuturi spring and water was delivered to the water tank of KUKL Bhainsipati.
Ministry of Water Supply Secretary Pramiladevi Shakya Bajracharya said, 'Immediately, Dakshinkali Municipality will release water from there by Dasain, after full moon meeting again and estimate the cost of all the damage, Lalipur Metropolitan Municipality, Dakshinkali Municipality and KUKL will meet and sign an agreement on what can be done. It has been agreed to prepare and sign.'
KUKL, it is said that the water will be distributed to consumers soon as water has reached the water tank of Bhainsipati.
Minister Yadav said that the recent floods have damaged many drinking water schemes and the water supply system from Dakshinkali in Lalitpur area has been blocked and asked the residents of Dakshinkali to help the people of Lalitpur .
