Since Dasain has started, most of them are eager to go home. Due to last week's floods and landslides, it is not certain how to travel due to the condition of the highway. Many people are interested in when Nepalthok-Dhulikhel section of BP highway will be opened.
At present, after leaving Hetaunda from the capital, they are traveling through Madan Bhandari highway for two days. BP Highway's Dhulikhel-Sindhuli-Bardiwas road is only 160 km.
Even though the road is one-way in 5/6 hours, it takes at most 9 hours, so the passengers are waiting to know when the Nepaltok-Dhulikhel section will be operational .
37 km from Khurkot to Baluwa via Nepalthok and 35 km from Dhulikhel to Bhakundebesin to Chowkidanda and 72 km has been operational. Out of 84 km, 12 km of the road has been washed away . Kapil Koirala, Vice President of Sunkoshi Rural Municipality, said that the road will be restored if that section is brought into operation temporarily.
Out of 84 km of Khurkot-Nepalthok-Dhulikhel section damaged by Roshi Khola, Sunkoshi flood and landslides, one-way road has been put into operation in 34 km of Khurkot Nepalthok. After three consecutive days of efforts, the stormy road has been opened from Sunkoshi-1 Nepalthok under the BP highway after noon on Thursday . Shant Tamang, a local who is involved in the construction of the road, said that the work would be done faster if the army was mobilized to bring the road between Mangaltar and Chowkidanda into operation temporarily. Tracks have to be opened on washed-out roads. This section is 50 km .
He also said that three sections of BP highway, Dhulikhel, Sindhuli Bardiwas road are in operation. Sindhuli Police SP Govindraj Kafle said that the BP highway towards Sindhuli could be operational one-way by Friday. He said that priority has been given to opening the temporary road and sending the vehicles stuck in the middle to their destination.
Apart from Nepal wholesale sand, Roshi's flood has completely damaged the roads with black sheets in 5 places in this section . It is estimated that one and a half kilometers of road has been completely damaged in the Nepaltok-Dhulikhel section.

Local skill Koirala, who is engaged in temporary road operation, believes that if there is a strong presence of the state system, he will get relief from the calamity on the road easily.
