Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has instructed the relevant ministries to bring an amendment bill to the existing laws related to Nepal Police and Armed Police Force to address the demands of the times and public expectations.

At the Prime Minister's Residence, Baluwatar, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel, Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar, Chief Secretary Ek Narayan Aryal, the secretaries of both ministries and heads of both organizations held a discussion on Sunday evening, Prime Minister Oli said that the law should be made timely and objective. He asked to bring a proposal to maintain peace and security and good governance in the country and also take into account the facilities from the small level to the top level within the organization. 

Prime Minister Oli directed the Ministry of Finance to study the economic and administrative aspects of the draft bill to amend both laws and submit it to the Ministry of Finance for opinion. The subject of submitting both those bills to the parliament has been prioritized by the government within 100 days. In the

discussion, Finance Minister Poudel said that after studying the bill as a whole, a quick conclusion will be drawn. . Home Minister Akbar clarified that bringing the proposed bill will add energy to the police organization and save the country's financial obligations.
