He, who is also the former chairman of the Thamel Tourism Development Council, informed that the locals, tourists and businessmen are suffering due to non-compliance of the code of conduct made for 24-hour operation. Sharma, former chairman of Thamel Tourism Development Council, has been monitoring every two months in collaboration with District Security Council and local bodies during his tenure, but he claimed that such monitoring is less now. 

Kathmandu Valley Police Office Senior Superintendent of Police Vinod Ghimire informed that the police administration is trying to solve the problems by providing security to businesses operating in Thamel and Darbarmarg areas at night and collecting complaints to give peace to the locals. "In terms of peace and security in this area, it is satisfactory," he said.

Senior Superintendent of Police Ghimire said that even though there is no criminal activity, complaints are received over the phone that the people who walk in Boto at night make noise. "We have deployed more manpower in Thamel and Darbarmarg circles from the point of view of security," he said.
